I've had some trash movers in the past and had very low expectations initially, but within the first hour I was in awe and confident in their ability to get us packed up within the day. They packed up our gear in Irvine and had it delivered to San Mateo the next day and were able to unload and build up our furniture exactly where we wanted it. Their crew of 3 arrived within the appointed time window with a 25 foot truck for a small apartment. They boxed some lose items,... and wrapped everything with blankets or plastic film. Moving the items to and from the truck was intense physical work. It was exhausting just watching them. They completed the job without damaging anything. They charged $195 an hour for 5 hours plus materials such as boxes, plastic wrap and floor covers. Travel time between the two locations was doubled for round trip billing. The actual time between arrival at the pickup and finish time at the destination was 4 hours. The total came to $1200 including a 3% credit card charge.read more

This was our first time hiring movers, and Careful Movers exceeded all expectations. At every step of the way, everyone we worked... with was helpful, friendly, and professional. Speaking with Mercedes, my consultant for the move, made me feel confident selecting Careful Movers out of several options. Shanna followed up the day before our move to confirm the details and make sure the guys had all the necessary equipment. Then the moving crew (Hector, Ariel, James) blew us away. These guys aren't just muscle, they are truly moving experts. I have never seen a moving truck packed so efficiently, and they did it in record time. At the drop-off, they ran runners all over the house, made sure every box and piece of furniture got to the right room unscathed, reassembled the bed frames, and even helped us make a few quick modifications to our new place (e.g., removing closet doors). These guys worked a long day to get our ton of stuff moved up and down stairs and through some tight corners, and they were friendly and efficient every minute. The convenience of being able to load up the truck for junk removal on the way out was the cherry on top. We can't thank these guys enough for making our moving day stress-free. I heard about this company who moved with them twice. It was very easy to book their services and they sent 4 guys and a truck to... help us. For context we moved from a 3 story house to another 3 story house. No appliances but we do have a large bed, small bed, tvs, sofa, 2 sit-stand desks, and other furniture. They helped us disassemble and reassemble furniture. We were 80% packed and they helped us the rest of the way. They are super nice, very hardworking, and all-around awesome. I’ve moved at least 5x in the last 10 years and they are the best movers of all the services we’ve used. I had to rearrange some furniture at the new place and they didn’t give any complaints. Very polite and nice throughout. Thank you so much for the amazing service. ⭐️Update: I wrote this before I finished inspecting the old house. There were quite a few scratches and dings to the stairwell walls. I think there was efforts to /try/ not to scratch the walls but ultimately it happened. At the new place the walls weren't damaged though so that's nice. I would still recommend them.read more

Wow, what an amazing and stress free experience we had with Careful Movers. We requested a long distance move and full pack job... coming down to Southern California from the Bay Area. Starting with our moving coordinator Ruben, who was attentive to the project and accommodating of all of our requests, and transparent about pricing and expectations. Our crew leader Enrique and his team arrived not only arrived 10 minutes early (we requested a 6am start time, that's saying something!) on our moving day to pack, but the team packed and loaded our 2 bedroom house in less than 5 hours with careful precision and efficiency.We originally scheduled a pack on Monday and delivery on Wednesday, but they were able to work with our schedule and delivered our stuff a day early! Enrique and his team again were so cautious and (rightfully named) careful with not only our stuff, but covering corners and floors in our new house to protect it. First time ever doing a long distance move (Bay Area -> San Diego) using movers and couldn't recommend Careful Movers enough.... They were by far the best deal I got after lots of research and quotes which they accomplish by having you give a window for the move date and bundling your long distance move with others along the way there/back - something to keep in mind if you truly need to move on a set day (which they can still accommodate, just at an additional cost). Mat was very transparent throughout the process of scheduling and answered all my questions as they came up and gave me notice once the move date was confirmed.There were 3 movers that helped on pickup and 2 of that same crew for dropoff, and I'm hating myself for not remembering their names because they were outstanding. They were FAST (2BD house packed up/dropped off in just over an hour), wrapped/protected my stuff perfectly, and were super understanding of anything that came up along the way. They made sure furniture was placed and oriented as I wanted on delivery and even remembered details about how I had things placed in the old house. Nothing was damaged either!I also got texts notifying when the movers were on their way at each location, which was super helpful. So glad I ended up choosing this company -- highly recommend them!read more
